I provide dynamic and powerful compositions in a diverse range of genres as well as creative, highly illustrative sound effects. All of my work is designed to function in both linear and interactive mediums.

Project: PC Speaker (Nerdpocalypse)
I am currently producing the majority of a new solo-album by PC Speaker. The 'Nerdcore Hip-Hop' scene is a small, but growing (and very hilarious) genre in which my work on both PC Speaker and Futuristic Sex Robotz has led the pack in terms of production value. © 2007, PC Speaker.

JOEL DAY
Over the past 8 years, I've composed full length musical scores for stage productions, produced albums for notable independent artists and assisted with a number of small media projects while working on my own solo material. I am now pursuing opportunities to contribute original music and sound to games and other interactive applications.
I also have experience with web design, software development, video editing and motion graphics. My ventures into such a wide variety of creative mediums and my history of experimentation with technology gives me a unique perspective as a composer and a sound designer. I can adapt to new tools and technologies quickly and easily.
When I encounter technical challenges, my versatility allows me to innovate and develop custom solutions. In my first experience scoring a stage play, I found the traditional methods used to perform audio cues antiquated and extremely limiting. Rather than downscale an ambitious project, I took a few days to develop a custom tool to automate the mixing and performance process. With the finished software, I could cycle through the final playlist with a single key, triggering specific music cues and simultaneous instances of ambient sound effect loops for each scene. The end result was an extraordinarily rich and immersive experience for the audience.
